NYC Subway Maps - You can catch the 2 or 5 subway trains at the East 180th Street Station. To get there you can take the Bx21 bus west on Morris Park, this bus stops in front of AECOM on the corner of Morris Park and Eastchester Rd. To get to the 180th St. station on the bus it takes 10-15min and to get to 42nd St. (Times Square) from 180th St. Station it takes about 25-30min. - Both the 2 and 5 trains run express in Manhattan all day. The 5 train runs express in the Bronx (always stops at 180th st.) during rush hours in the peak direction- downtown in the morning and uptown at night. - **AFTER MIDNIGHT** The 5 train stops running in Manhattan at midnight, the 2 runs all night. You can take the 4 or 6 train to 149th St. Grand Concourse and transfer to 5 or 2 to get to 180th st. after midnight. Also, the Bx21 bus comes only once every 20-30min after midnight so often students will take a cab ride from the subway to campus late at night (*don't pay more than $6 total for the ride). **Get yourself a nice little subway map so you don't get lost if you are not familiar. They sell wallet sized maps at Barnes and Noble all over NYC, just ask. It often comes with maps of central park, street maps of south of houston, and subway maps of brooklyn and queens. **Check signs at subway stations or check the website as there is often CONSTRUCTION of trains and stations causing crazy delays and confusion. But these are almost always displayed with large fliers at the stations. |
